CRAFT is our new series of technique and craft-focused courses to develop confidence and expand a repertoire of maker skills.

Calligraphy and sofrut/scribing

Join artist and scribe Rachel Jackson for this special opportunity to acquaint yourself with the techniques and beauty of Hebrew scribing. This online 8 part lunchtime/afternoon series will cover the foundational techniques and skills of sofrut (ritual Hebrew calligraphy/scribing), as well as some of the Jewish legal and ethical considerations pertinent to scribing today. All materials will be provided as part of your course registration.

Daily over the course of two weeks
Mon-Thurs Jan 24-27, Jan 31, and Feb 1-3, 2022

Course Fee $250 - includes all materials (those with international addresses will have an additional fee for shipping).

Registration deadline in order to receive materials on time is December 30th. In particular for international shipping, there may be unexpected delays.

This course is dependent on minimum registration of 12 people.
